Welcome to the website of Lincoln’s Ermine estate

Slideshow Slideshow Slideshow Slideshow Slideshow Slideshow

We hope that the site will give you all the information you need about the estate and the services and facilities that are available.

The estate was built in the 1950s and is home to around six thousand people. It lies on the northern edge of the city of Lincoln, only a few minutes by car or foot from the historic Lincoln Cathedral. Split into two parts, East and West, the Ermine estate is also home to churches, schools, shops and various businesses and social groups.

Much of the website has been put together by volunteer groups from within the community, including the schools, church groups and individuals living within the estate.

  • New Activities - this New Year do you feel like meeting new people or just finding out what's going on locally? Your local First Contact Field Coordinator will provide you with information about local lunch clubs, social and activity groups to get you involved.

"People are always happy to learn more about the services available on a county, or more local level and we gain a great deal of satisfaction from talking to people face-to-face"

    - Kathy Lote, North Kesteven Field Coordinator.

Our Field Coordinators visit Community Groups in every village to share information with you. If you have not already had a visit, please get in touch.

  • Volunteering - Got a few hours to spare? Why not become a volunteer and help out in your local community. First Contact can put you in touch with your local Volunteer Centre to learn about becoming a volunteer and what opportunities are available. How do I complete a checklist?

  • With the help of a Friend or Relative, as long as they have your consent, they can fill in the checklist on your behalf and even act as your alternative contact for correspondence.
  • Large Print checklists are available on request.
